Sensor Models
Model
400 & 600
Detcon offers two distinct gas
sensor product lines for ambient air monitoring. The model
Series 400 (4-20mA analog) and the Model Series 600 (microprocessor based
non-intrusive) which is available with a 4-20mA analog output or an RS-485
Serial Output.

Technologies
Combustible Gas
Poison resistant catalytic detector
beads. The sensor can detect a wide variety of combustible gases
in the lower explosive limit range (% LEL). Approved for Class I;
Groups B, C, D; Div 1.
Oxygen Deficiency
Two electrode air battery.
Standard range of detection is 0-25%. Approved for Class I; Groups
C, D; Div1.
Solid State Toxic
(H2S)
Solid state metal oxide semiconductor.
Standard range of detection is 0-100 ppm. This sensor method is especially
suitable for harsh environments such as offshore drilling applications.
Approved for Class I; Groups B, C, D; Div1.
Electrochemical
Toxics
Three electrode electrochemical.
Standard ranges of detection are shown below. Other ranges may be
requested from the factory. Approved for Class I; Groups C, D; Div
1.

Modular
Design & Flexible Configuration
The systems are designed around a single channel digital control module
that is configurable to monitor and display the status of a broad list
of toxic and flammable gas detection sensor devices. Each control
module is plug-in and can be mixed with any combination of other modules
to accommodate multiple gas detection functions within a common mainframe
assembly. The control module is available in two models; the 10A
which features two alarm functions and the 12A which features three alarm
functions and discrete alarm disable. |

Types
System designs include rack and panel mount NEMA 1 main frames and
wall mount NEMA 4X weatherproof enclosures. NEMA 7 explosion proof

Data Acquisition Module
Detcon Model DA-1 Data Acquisition Module accepts up
to 4 digital and/or analog inputs and includes self-diagnostics.
The DA-1 was designed to allow Detcon gas sensors and third party devices
to be placed on an RS-485 network using Modbus® protocol.
The modules are housed in a Class I; Groups B, C, D; Div.1 enclosure. |

Site Manager
The Detcon Site Manager is an operator interface designed
specifically for Detcon gas detection systems. The Windows®
based package includes standard features such as animated graphics pages,
real-time and historical trending, pop-up windows with detailed device information,
alarm and command logging, and system security.
